Lita Ford


Lita Ford (1958 -     )
British-American guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter;
lead guitarist for the all-female rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s,
followed by a successful glam metal solo career, with her biggest hit
being Close My Eyes Forever (1989), a duet with Ozzy Osbourne;
following a long hiatus, she returned with a comeback album (2012)
and an autobiography (2015), both entitled Living Like a Runaway;
recipient of the 2014 Certified Legend Award by Guitar Player magazine.

    I saw the biopic The Runaways and became obsessed with her and Joan Jett.

  3. The Runaways were such strong, cool, edgy women! They gave us great music and were great role models for a generation of women. Power!
