ReplyDeleteUnrelated to anything, I was looking at the Canadian Maritime Provinces on the map yesterday and was interested to note how small Prince Edward Island is. Of course the magic Googler showed me all sorts of pictures of Green Gables. I have a well loved copy of the book in my children's collection and perhaps my granddaughter will read it some day.

@ e -- It IS a great photo, isn't it? Look at that exquisite lacework and detail work on the bodice! It's a colourized photo, of course, but that just enhances it, I think.
