Time For Your Favourites to Shine!

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Do you have some favourite women
who should be featured as a
Beautiful Woman of the Day?

Feel free to leave me a list in the comments!

Thanks! I will resume posting
on Wednesday, January 8!

  1. In no particular order...

    Dorothy Parker
    Sandra Bernhard
    Lena Horne
    Karen Carpenter
    Cher
    Elenore Roosevelt
    Maureen Dowd
    Judy Garland
    Alison Bechdel
    Janis Joplin
    Marilyn Monroe
    Marie Dressler
    Rachel Maddow
    Sarah Silverman
    Marlene Deitrich
    Barbra Streisand
    Ruth Buzzi
    Carol Burnett
    Gloria Steinem
    Marsha P. Johnson

These woman happened to be on the top of my head. With more time to think about it, I'm sure I could come up with 20 more (and maybe come up with more names not tied to the entertainment industry.)

    1. @ Kirk -- Great suggestions, thanks! I'll put them on the list. I already featured Alison Bechdel on Sept 4/24 and Gloria Steinem on Sept 25/24. And I considered Marsha P. Johnson before too, but further investigation showed that Marsha did not identify as a trans woman but as a gay man in drag which, of course, is not equivalent.

    Laura Secord
    Ann Murray
    Fran Lebowitz
    Mary Tyler Moore
    Dolly Parton

    Emily Carr
    Fanny Flag

    Thelma Chalifoux

Some required a little research on my part. Hopefully some inspiration for you.

  4. Impressive lists already submitted! I would like to suggest Christine Sinclair, soccer phenom who captained the Canadian women's team to an Olympic gold medal and the Portland Thorns to much acclaim and glory. O Captain, my Captain!
