This photo of an unnamed African American migrant field worker

and her children in the Deep South gained worldwide recognition,

as well as its title (from Proverbs 3:18), when Edward Steichen

selected it for his famous 1955 exhibition Family of Man 

at The Museum of Modern Art, New York.
