Writing Department at the University of Victoria;
one of Canada's pre-eminent poets, her writings often
deal with themes of human relationships, the natural world,
language, memory, and perception;

ReplyDeleteCrozier's poetry spoke volumes to us. Hubby is a recovering alcoholic and he usually shies away from the subject a bit. After her poem he admitted he doesn't spend enough consideration on what I went through, and still do, on the other side. Well, that was unexpected. Maybe Hubby and I need more poetry and more cats relaxing in amazing gardens...and a second trip to the BC/Vancouver vibe! It's been 15 years and I'm hankerin'!

@ Cleora Borealis -- I'm glad that her poetry resonated with you and your husband! She is one of my favourite Canadian poets. I just got her memoir "Through the Garden: A Love Story (with Cats)" and will be reading it soon. And oh yes, Canada is still friendly and welcoming to American tourists! We know WHO the real problem is.
