Rosa Luxemburg


Rosa Luxemburg (1871 - 1919)
Polish-German revolutionary and Marxist theorist;
a key figure of the socialist and communist movements
of Poland and Germany in the early 20th century,
she was critical of Lenin and also opposed reform
in place of revolution against the state;
while trying to overthrow the Weimar Republic,
she was captured and murdered by paramilitary forces.
