Bernice Johnson Reagon


Bernice Johnson Reagon (1942 - 2024)
American song leader, composer, professor of American history,
curator at the Smithsonian, and social activist;
founding member of the Freedom Singers (1960s) and
founder of the all-black female a cappella ensemble 
Sweet Honey in the Rock (1973).
