American seamstress, secretary and
activist in the civil rights movement;
her 1955 arrest in Montgomery, AL, for
refusing to move to the back of a bus was a
pivotal act of anti-segregation resistance;
subsequent recipient of many honours including
the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

✊️👏 You betcha! And amazing how from her mug shot on 12-5-55, starting the bus boycott, to the iconic photo of her sitting in the front of a bus on the day SCOTUS declared bus segregation unconstitutional was only one year and 15 days!! Making good trouble works!! 🥳
