ReplyDelete@ Boud -- She was definitely Group of Seven adjacent, but never officially part of that all-male group. However, Lawren Harris was a major mentor and influence on her.
DeleteI'm a big fan of Emily Carr! Her work is powerful. I want to seminal but what is a female version of that - ovarial? There are some amazing works of hers at the Victoria BC museum. I took a tour of her house in Victoria years ago.
