English mystery writer and playwright
known as the "Queen of Crime;"
best-selling fiction writer of all time;
creator of notable detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple;
her works have been widely and repeatedly adapted
for the movies and television.

  1. 🤩 Agatha Christie was certainly my Mom's favorite! As a non-fiction, true crime gal, I didn't get the Christie bug. And, I used to tease Mom about re-reading all of Christie's work again and again..."you already know whodunit!" Well, it made her happy and I'm sure other fans re-read also. 😃

  2. I didn't realise she died in the 70's. I haven't read any of her books but she was, and still is very popular.

  3. Enjoyed many of the adaptations you mentioned. One of these days I'll have to turn my attention to the original source material.

  4. I was a big mystery reader in my youth and read aaalllll the Agatha Christies! As far as the adaptations for the screen (big or small) nothing tops David Suchet as Poirot. A more perfect performance has never been rendered.
